Don Pierce, Operations Manager, Transitions Halfway Ministries, Forgiveness House
Rev. John Anderson, House Captain and driver, Forgiveness House

Founder Bob Sauter devotes necessary time to the overall operation of Forgiveness House, the financial/fund raising requirements, food service and building maintenance areas. Together with Operations Manager Don, and House Supervisor John, we form an experienced, well-rounded team. We encourage our residents with love, dignity and respect. We help heal some of the emotional scarring, promote spiritual growth, assist with secular needs, restore identities, and help the men to rebuild damaged family relationships. There is never a dull moment at Forgiveness House. One or more of our residents require daily assistance with identity restoration, employment searching, and general life skills education.

It has long been Bob's desire to help men being released from prison

Bob, founder of Transitions Halfway Ministries and Business Manager at Forgiveness House, is a non-denominational Christian lay leader, husband to Belinda, father of three, grandfather of nine, and an active member of Kairos Prison Ministry and Promise Keepers. Since retiring from his secular work, he is busy each day transporting men to and from work, counseling and sharing the Gospel with them, encouraging them and "fathering" them. Ocassionally, you may see him on a golf course impersonating an actual golfer.

Our Programs
Forgiveness House conducts an array of Program Segments designed to assist men in integrating back into an everchanging, more complex society. Several evenings following meditations and dinner, our residents gather for approximately one hour to participate in various Life Skills courses, such as basic Money Management, Substance Abuse Counseling, Anger Counseling, and Bible Studies.

Our Primary Living and  Behavioral Health Center is located at 3515 Summer Avenue in the Highland Heights area of Memphis. This is a great location because all of the supporting services are within easy walking distance from our building: a pharmacy across the street, several thrift clothing outlets nearby, convenient bus stops and routes, numerous churches, restaurants, Post Office and convenience stores.

Please help us. We receive modest funding from the TN Dept. of Corrections, and this project is also funded, in part, by the TN Dept. of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. We rely heavily on contributions we receive from you. Statistically, these men will return to prison within 24-36 months without our help. God Bless! You may use credit cards also on the Paypal donation button.
